  • Can’t wait for the next conference

“The last time I attended a conference that Molly Connolly hosted I walked away with a new business coach, a new client, and the inspiration I needed to take my career to the next level. I have gone from being an in-house developer to an independent consultant. This change has given me the opportunity to work on a variety of fun, challenging projects and manage my own workload—all the while being part of an amazing community that is always willing to share and inspire! I can’t wait to attend the “Find Your Moose 2016!”

    - Cindy Zelinske, Databug Solutions

So how do you filter through your clients “wants” to get to the root of the problem they are trying to solve? Often our clients think they know what they need, but we know there is a better solution. How do you conduct a needs analysis and research to ensure you understand the problem they are trying to solve? How do you present solutions that may not be what they expect?

Marketing, Public Relations and Sales: All these skills ensure the success of your business but as a small business owner how do you decide where to focus your efforts and limited budget?

Sales and Estimating: How do you set prices for your services? Find out about different ways to charge for your services that can grow your business exponentially.

Channeling Creativity: Do you ever wish you had just a little more time so you could wrap your head around a new/better solution as opposed to just getting the job done? We’ll learn from experts how to channel your creativity to make sure you do your best work, not just for your client but for you own personal satisfaction.

Financial Planning for the Business Owner: You think about your business and your team every day. How much time do you focus on planning for your own future?

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the dress code?

We want you to be casual and comfortable. You’re probably not going to see anyone walking around in a suit—unless that’s your thing…

Who should I contact if I have other questions?

Contact Molly Connolly at molly@elusivemoose.com with any questions.

What is the registration cancellation policy?

If something comes up and you can’t make it to the event, please contact us. We have some fixed costs we need to cover but we will do our best to reimburse you up until the day before the conference.

What will the presentations be like?

This will not be a “sit and watch a Powerpoint presentation” type of conference. Our speakers will be giving you ideas, showing you examples, and facilitating lively discussion about issues that matter most to you. We believe that the best connections come from dynamic interactions between attendees. Be prepared to be involved!

Where should I stay?

Best Western Grant Park is located at 1100 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago. Guests must call the hotel directly at 800-472-6875 or 312-922-2900 prior to August 5, 2016 to book a room at the group rate ($161/night). Please reference “Find Your Moose”. Hilton Chicago is also nearby (720 South Michigan Ave) and there are plenty of airbnb rentals throughout the neighborhood.

Are meals included?

We’ll provide a continental breakfast and snacks during morning and afternoon breaks on Wednesday and Thursday. There are plenty of lunch options near the conference facility. We’ll provide a list of recommendations and you will have plenty of time between sessions to grab lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Are there any evening activities planned?

Yes! On Wednesday evening, September 7, all Find Your Moose attendees are welcome to join us for drinks and appetizers at Bar Louie, 47 W. Polk St., Chicago from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
